Land of Fire and Ice

For the intrepid traveller, Iceland is a must-visit destination. Although its popularity as a tourist destination has skyrocketed in recent times, most of the country outside the Golden Circle remains isolated, remote, and unpeopled.

Its landscape is spectacular. Its waterfalls, fjords and glaciers are epic in scale, a grandeur it owes to the volcanically active land it sits on. But there is more to Iceland than incredible, awe-inspiring landforms shaped by the forces of nature. Tucked away amongst the cliffs of its fjords, hidden in the shadow of volcanoes, are cosy villages. Here, a way of life, one in harmony with the seasons, can be found and experienced.
