From Grand Moorish Palaces in Andalusia to Charming Stone Villages in Catalonia
Spain has it all. We love her sun-drenched coastal towns and majestic mountain peaks. We love the food – some of the most exciting cuisines you can find in all of Europe is here in Spain. Because of its location – between Africa and Continental Europe, and its colonial history, it is a melting pot of cultures and ideas. From the revolutionary architecture of Gaudí to contemporary tapas, Ferran Adrià style, you will find here that tradition inspires rather than binds.
Most of our travels have been in Andalusia and the countryside of Catalonia. In Andalusia, our favourite destinations were Ronda, an incredible town carved onto the top of a gorge and Seville, with its stunning palace, the Real Alcázar. Seville is also the place to go for delicious and authentic tapas. In Catalonia, we explored the fascinating stone towns of Peratallada and Besalú. These stunning towns have an architecture unique to the region and therefore are a must-visit destination when in Spain.
