Young, energetic, and filled with the rocking spirit of the ’60s and ’70s, the Friars are an upbeat indie rock band hailing from Utrecht. Lead singer and guitarist Jasper Demollin, with Bryan ANA Ling, bassist Michael Call, and guitarist Daan Scherpenzeel, made it to the Dutch music scene in 2015, when they were selected for the Popronde tour.
This gig comes just ahead of the release of their EP, out on 28 May. Characterised by funky beats, catchy guitar riffs, lyrics that are thoughtful, funny, and cool, their music is inspired by classics like Fleetwood Mac and Jimi Hendrix.
