The cities of Malta, with its history stretching back to ancient times, are incredible to photograph. We love capturing the nostalgic feel of its narrow streets, bordered by ancient stone walls. At night, the street lights cast a warm and romantic glow over the cobblestone roads.
In Malta, the trick is to look for the unexpected. Each city has its own unique character and hidden spots. We wandered around the streets of Valetta, Birgu and the Medina and Rabat, photographing all the charming moments at different times of the day.
The powerful fort architecture of Valetta casts interesting shadows and has a different feel at dawn and dusk – it is this play of light that so captivated us.
