Residentie Orkest teams up with Pat Smith, frontman of The Hague-based reggae band Splendid, for a night of contemporary classical music fused with chilled-out beats. This collaboration was a first for both Pat Smith and the orchestra – Smith’s first time fronting an entire symphony and the Residentie Orkest’s first time playing to Reggae.

This concert is part of a series by the Paard and the Residentie Orkest, exploring the edge of contemporary music, with classical elements led by pop and rock influences. By mixing Raggae with Classical elements, the orchestra seeks to push the boundaries of contemporary music and make classical instruments and techniques relevant to contemporary tastes.
