The sultry, deep female vocals of Rianne Walther lead each song by The Indien, but it is the soulful tunes and beats from Casper Talsma, Maarten Hemmen and Janneke Nijhuijs that give them their signature groove.
Their music harkens back to the New Orleans blues rock and jazz scene, and conjures the atmosphere of classic smoke-filled bars and of beautiful decay. At this concert, they were supported by a great up-and-coming Dutch band – Son Mieux.
